Former Scotland and British and Irish Lions rugby union player Rob Wainwright is once again gearing up for his Doddie’s Rome cycling challenge for charity.

The legacy of Doddie Weir

Doddie Weir is a former Scottish international rugby union player who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2017. He set up the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to promote awareness of MND and raise funds to aid its research

The Cycle Challenge

The Doddie’s Rome cycle challenge is one such event organized by the Foundation, which covers around 200 miles on two wheels over three days, culminating in the finale in Rome.
